Week of Dinners: Day 5

Today my mom and two younger sisters came up to hang out with Luke and I. We played dominoes and talked and for dinner ate "fresh mex" salads like you'd get at Cafe Rio/Bajio/Costa Vida.


You can't see it all, but this freshly-cooked tortilla is packed with black beans, sweet pork (Luke's mom gave us the easy recipe- pork roast, picante sauce, and brown sugar), lettuce, cheese, mango salsa, guacamole, and cilantro lime dressing.

It's funny: I never think of you as the cooking type, but the last year or so it's come up a lot (starting, I think, with us sharing cheesecake recipes- yours had blueberry topping and mine was a carrot cheesecake). How often do you make real meals? Do you and Eagan cook together, or is it mostly you (because you ARE a housewife, after all)?
