Camping

Luke and I went snow camping! We went way up American Fork Canyon, where there was four feet (at least!) of snow. We found a little spot where someone had dug out part of a picnic table and a fire pit. We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores over a campfire that took forever to get going (we didn't think ahead enough, and forgot that if everything's covered in snow, anything that would ordinarily be used for kindling would be soaked). It was very fun. It's been a long time since I've been winter camping, and I've never been camping before when it was just me and one other person. Very fun.

Luke can never keep his eyes open when there's a flash:

In other news, Luke saw my blog the other day, and was horrified by the title "Getting 'Lade." It's apparently not just a bad joke, but is unforgivable. I apologize to anyone else who feels similarly.

  2. Also, remember when I was like "do you have firewood" and you were like "yes" and I was like "really?" and you said "yes!"

    i knew you didn't!

  3. We had firewood. We even have some left over. We just forgot kindling.

  4. Oh, and I hope you change your mind about it looking miserable, because Scott and I arranged for us to go couples camping, right after a party at your cousin's house, and a few hours of babysitting your cousin's kid.
